Last Night (May 30, 2010- Monday. 1:30 A.M.)
I was watching a movie with my best friend and my parents in the TV room, called Armageddon. I was already in the mood for some kind of big event, so it was pretty cool when my mum called us outside to look at the moon.
At first, when she told me, 'you'll never see this again in your life,' I thought she was talking about a solar eclipse or something. I've already seen one of those.
This was much cooler than a moon cycle.
There were loads of wild fires in Quebec, Canada last night, because it's been so dry and humid the past week. Because of the raging flames, it caused lots of smoke. Because Maine is quite close to Quebec, all the smoke from Canada blew on the wind down to America. It smelt like smoke all night outside. We had to go in, because we'd started to cough.
That wasn't the cool part, though. The moon was reflecting the fire, and it turned the moon as red as blood. Not even joking. It was quite a sight, and I'll never forget it.
It's about 5 P.M. Now, on Monday, and you can still faintly smell the smoke. There are about 50 wild fires in Canada right now, and I hope it's not awful to think that's pretty impressive.
I feel awful for the loss of woods, but hey, that moon was awesome.
Just felt like sharing the lastest of my adventures.

Popcorn.
I was sitting in class today, and my Spanish teacher asked whoever in the class to stand, if they didn't like popcorn. I stood, because I don't like popcorn.
People were looking at me and asking, 'why don't you like popcorn?'
Now, why exactly do I not like popcorn?
It's great movie food, and it's great for snacking on when you're hungry, and it (I've heard) relieves stress in a stressful, dramatic situation. (Hence why they use it for movies.)
But, it has it's flaws. It really does.
For one... it's mutilated corn.
How sad. This poor corn, unknowing that it's about to be popped. WELL, I'm sure it's a bad enough fate that we smother it in butter and fry it and eat it in the first place, but I'm not about to start feeling bad for the stuff, I mean, we gotta eat, and that doesn't have a brain. But... Popcorn is just wrong. It's just... not corn anymore.
Corn is good.
Popcorn is bad.
Another reason, I dislike it is the fact that it get's wedged between your teeth. How's that for a beautiful feeling. I don't know about you, but whenever I used to get popcorn stuck between my teeth... it never felt great. And it's so sharp, my goodness! It made my mouth bleed once. Not gonna lie.
Then there's the BIGGEST reason: It stinks.
It smells like Rotorua.
Of course, if you're reading this, and you're from America, or someplace that isn't New Zealand, you might not understand the resemblance.
I'll explain it.
Rotorua is a city in New Zealand, in the North Island, by the Bay of Plenty. The city is known for it's geothermal activity (Like gysers, boiling mud pools, ect.) And because of all this heat, and activity going on underneath the surface of the place, it makes everything (including the air) smell very bad. I could have been born right next to a boiling mud pool, and I'd still say it smelt bad. Like a skunk on the road... or whatever it smells like when your dog poops inside.

Or you could just smell popcorn.
That's just how much it smells.
Just wanted to let y'all know I dislike it.
P.S. This wasn't trying to make anyone dislike popcorn, just stating facts.
Have a good day(:

SPRING
It's May, which means, it's officially Spring.
Like way into Spring.
I just stink at getting blogs done. Ha, but I'm working at that.
The thing I love about Spring is that it's so beautiful and fresh.
Everything is growing, and I love that. It just feels like a rebirthing of the world.
You can smell the freshness after a rain shower, and I love the afternoon thunderstorms, when it's still warm outside, and the thunder just rocks the house.
I love the sounds of birds in the morning when I wake up. I love looking out my window and in the early morning and seeing the sun shining through the trees. It's so pretty, because they're new leaves, so they're kind of yellow, so it makes the sunshine almost golden over everything, and it's absolutely stunning.
Everyone's always happy in Spring, too. Everyone feels new and alive. Like we've been the ones sleeping all Winter, and now we're waking up. Now, we've all come out of our shells.
I have to admit I feel more alive in Spring.
That's why it's my favourite season.
And school ends! All kids love that.
There's something also very sad about this Spring. To me, anyway.
Maybe it's because this is my last Spring in this country?
Maybe it's because I won't get to see any of my school friends ever again?
Maybe... I don't know...
I'll be okay, though.
I think...
I love the flowers.
Flowers are gorgeous little gifts from God, sent to make girls like me, very, very, very, happy. :) They are just the prettiest pieces of nature. They define Spring. I'm having a pretty great Spring.
Just thought I should share that with anyone who will read it.
Lots of Love
