January
It is January 31st, Sunday, and it truthfully is relieving to have this month done with. I am counting down the months until this September, but I am also counting down the days until each fun retreit and event that takes place this year. The next retreit we have is Winter Retreit, and I'm looking forward to it, since it's the only time of the year until summer when I get to see some of my freinds in other states. Right now: thirteen days till.
This month felt like it went by slowly. It feels great to be in 2010 already, and boy 2009 went by like ZAP! (HAPPY NEW YEAR) haha, anyways, it was a tiring, interesting, and exausting month. I did a couple of waffle breakfasts for fundraising for winter retreit, and by now I'm sure I'm an expert waffle maker(: Those fundraisers raised a lot, and they were the best waffles in the world, because they were actually made from scratch, not made by Aunt Jemimah.
I have had a crush or two this month for sure, and I've helped a couple of freinds with they're romance problems, and they helped me with mine. I'm no matchmaker, but one of the freinds I helped out, is happily un-single now. I think all her beau needed was a little freindly encouragement. Yay, now I sound like Emma.
I saw a couple of great movies this month, and yes, their both Jane Austen. I've also seen a few great trailers for things coming out, and I know there are loads I can go see, but some of them which looked expecially good, I can't go see because their rated R. I think that's a problem, because it's frusterating for teens under 18 who totally want to go and see it. Anyway, Dear John is a must, even though it looks super depressing. And I saw Bride and Prejudice, which almost convinced me to move to India, or at least visit, and I saw the BBC version of Emma, with Gwyneth Paltrow. She's a wonderful actress.
I had midterms at school, and started new classes. ALl my lunches are changed up, which bothers me, and I think I failed two of my midterms for sure. I am SO not looking forward to finals. I will be glad when tenth grade is OVER and I can have my six month break from school after that. One good thing about moving to New Zealand, is the fact they don't start school until Feburary. YES, so I'm looking forward to an extended summer vacation. Having summer here, then going back to spring then summer over there, will be awesome! Hello, Sunshine! (:
I've gotten some writing done, but not a lot, I need to keep working at it so I can get Cherry Bomb at least published by Easter.
Hopefully theres something awesome in store for Feb. I'm looking forward to Spring at this point, it's so cold here. Well, see ya! (:
